Frederick Alvin Daugherty (August 18, 1914 – April 7, 2006) was a United States federal judge.
Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Daugherty received an LL.B. from Cumberland University in 1933. He was in private practice in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma from 1937 to 1940. He was in the United States Army from 1940 to 1946. He was in private practice in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma from 1946 to 1950. He was in the United States Army from 1950 to 1952. He was in private practice in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma from 1952 to 1955. He was a judge on the Seventh Judicial District Court, State of Oklahoma from 1955 to 1961.
Daugherty was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma. Daugherty received a recess appointment from John F. Kennedy on October 5, 1961, to a new seat created by 75 Stat. 80; nominated on January 15, 1962. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on February 7, 1962, and received his commission on February 17, 1962. He served as chief judge from 1972-1982. He assumed senior status on January 12, 1982. Daugherty served in that capacity until April 7, 2006, due to his death.
